UHISA provides support, advice and financial assistance to the clubs and societies within the UHI.
They are an excellent way to spend your free time, meet new people and gain new talents. UHISA is able to offer some funding to students who want to set up a club or society and we are here to help you along the way.
At the end of the academic session for 2010/11, there were 8 clubs/societies affiliated to UHISA.
So far this year, five clubs and societies have secured an affiliation to UHISA and these are detailed in the next section...
If there is one that you are interested in joining, you can either contact the President/Captain of the club/society directly or contact me, Katrina Paton, for more information uhisa.vp@uhisa.org.uk or 01343 576300
Alternatively, there are also a number of clubs that are running within UHI that have not yet completed their affiliation for this year. These are detailed in the section 'Other UHI clubs and societies'...

I need your help to increase the number of UHI clubs and societies...
You give me the idea and I will help you every step of the way.
Would you like a club or society that relates to your course or would you like something just for the fun of it?
Here's some examples to get you started:
Online gaming (PS3 / Xbox 360)
or Sports | Drawing/painting | Music/dance | Pub Quiz
If you can you think of any more, let me know uhisa.vp@uhisa.org.uk
Clubs and Societies are a great way of enriching your university experience and allowing you to demonstrate some practical skills like planning, organising and budgeting.
It will look great on your CV too... let's face it, we will all need a little something extra to help us get a job at the end of our studies!
So.... drop me an email or give me a call and we can discuss your plans and how to make your plans a reality
I can't wait to hear from you
