UHISA can provide you with guidance, support, advertising and funding, which other than members, are vital to getting your club up and running! And we do all this for FREE... all you need to do is ask!
So don't keep you club to yourself share it with the rest of UHI!
We want to grow UHI clubs and societies over the forthcoming to make sure every UHI student has the opportunity to join a club or society. Being a student is not all about studying, its also about sharing this journey with others in the same situation. When times are hard, you need peer support and this is one way to do it.
The main purpose of the affiliation form is to provide UHISA and UHI with basic information on your club/society. The reason for this is to make sure that all parties involved are aware of the aims and objectives of your club/society.
The affiliation form is completed on an annual basis and submitted to the Vice President of UHISA. You can also use it to register new committee members following your AGM (Annual General Meeting) or new ordinary members at any time.
Each club and society title should be prefixed with the term 'UHI'; for example: UHI Snowsports or UHI Environmental Science Society. We also ask you to write a brief description of the aim/s of your club/society. There should be at least four members on your committee: president/captain; vice president/captain; secretary; and, treasurer. You have to option to appoint additional members should you wish i.e. event co-ordinator, health and safety officer etc. The ordinary members are also entered into the form. Finally, each member of the committee should sign and date the form and it should be submitted to:
Judith Crow, UHISA Vice President, North Highland College UHI, Ormlie Road, Thurso, KW14 7EE or vicepresident.uhisa@uhi.ac.uk
