Be a champion! - Get involved in the London 2012 Olympics
With just 36 weeks to go to until London 2012 Olympics starts, now really is the time to start getting involved.
Detailed below you will find updates about ways to get involved – including the release of the next wave of funding.
You can apply for up to £1,000 for projects that have been inspired by London 2012.

Inspire Mark applications closing:
Time is running out to be part of the official London 2012 Inspire project as LOCOG has put out a last call for entrants.
You only have until 1 December to apply for the scheme and be part of the Games taking place next yea.
With all those that join being awarded the Inspire mark - a special logo that can be used to promote their project or event, showing that they are part of London 2012.

NUS is pleased to let you know of a really exciting opportunity for you to bring to your campus and help keep Team GB pumped.
Cadbury, the Official Treat Provider to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, will be bringing their brand new activation “Keeping Our Team Pumped’ to universities across the UK.
Students will be encouraged to a sing power ballads in support of Team GB along with Games Crew as judges, smoke machines and of course lots of delicious Cadbury chocolate! As part of the Be a Champion project NUS are pleased to announce that the second round of funding is available to students’ unions to run projects inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
We want to see innovative projects that celebrate London 2012 and that show how they meet the funding criteria laid out in the covering note under “what is the money for?”.

We’re really excited to have a new opportunity for students’ unions in the run up to London 2012 by supporting the Get Set programme through our Get Set Champions work.
We want you to work with the local schools and colleges in your area to make sure they don’t miss out on amazing London 2012 opportunities, prizes and experiences for their students.
