STEM are keen to get more UHI students involved with STEM activities (science festivals, school activities, community events, etc) and to promote the STEM Ambassador scheme among students.
STEM ambassadors are people working and studying at all levels in science, technology, maths and engineering who support schools with activities, such as class room experiments, field work, careers, etc.
Taking part in these kind of activities is great fun, as well as the chance to share your skills and enthusiasm for your subject with young people. It also helps to build public engagement skills and confidence, as well as being an additional extra on your CV!
